Microcurrent is a low-level electrical current that mimics the characteristics of the Bodies natural current. Micro current was originally used in the 1960’s to treat Bell’s palsy or Stroke victims. The treatment was to re-educate the paralyzed facial area and jump start the muscle functions. Great results were accomplished but a result that was not expected yet becoming very obvious was that all of these patients started looking younger.

Because of these age defying effects & the ability to lift & tighten the muscle/skin, micro current was soon adapted into the Esthetics Arena. Estheticians have successfully been using micro current in their facial rejuvenation treatments for the past 20 years. Micro current is a painless application using two applicator prongs to massage & manipulate the muscle for collagen/fibroblast induction, muscle revival, skin lighting & toning.

Ultrasonic application is used for cleansing the skins pores & exfoliation. Applied by what we call a “Spatula" delivers a high intense vibration of up to 28,000 cycles per second. When the tip of the spatula glides along the skins surface its vibration helps to push along dead stratum corneum cells. This gives a non-invasive exfoliation. At the same time the vibration deeply cleanses the pores, liquefies sebum and helps to purge up deep seeded pore blockages & blackheads. Also known as the hot’n’cold hammer this trusty treat is as cold as ice on one face & cozy warm on the other. When the hammer is use for Cryotherapy the coldness of it against the skin is excellent used as the final step of a treatment. It can cool down & calm skins after Microdermabrasion. When applied it will also slow down blood flow or cellular metabolism. Slowing down & closing of pores will lock in active skincare ingredients used within a treatment allowing the working effect within the area to stay longer. Also excellent for settling hot or aggravated skins. Used before some dermal injections to numb the area & reduce discomfort eliminating the preperation & use of dispoasable cold paks.

The hot side of the hammer (Thermotherapy) is used prior to a treatment & skincare application. The warmness has a sedatory effect on the skin & tissues relaxing the treatment area & opening pores. The area becomes more permeable to topicals. Opened pores are ready for toxin release, a great state for Microdermabrasion or the spatula. Also can be used within a massage to relax muscles & joint stiffness.
